The Brief

A licensed plumbing company serving Durham Region needed a website that matched the quality of their work. They had been relying entirely on word of mouth and wanted to start capturing the customers searching Google for emergency plumbing, fixture installations, and pipe repairs in their area.

The goals were clear: look professional, show up for local searches, and make it as easy as possible for someone with a burst pipe at 10pm to find the phone number and call.

What We Delivered

We designed and built a custom WordPress site focused on one thing: making the phone ring. The hero section leads with their core promise (fast, reliable, licensed) and puts the phone number front and center with a tap-to-call button on mobile.

Individual service pages target the specific jobs they want to attract: emergency plumbing, drain cleaning, water heater installation, and bathroom renovations. Each page is structured for both human readability and local SEO, targeting “[service] + [city]” keyword patterns across their service area.

Trust signals are visible without scrolling: 24/7 availability badge, licensed and insured credentials, and a 5-star rating indicator. These elements address the three questions every homeowner asks before calling a trades business: “Are they available now? Are they legit? Are they any good?”

SEO and Local Visibility

Beyond the website build, we set up and optimized their Google Business Profile, submitted to local directories with consistent NAP data, and structured the site with schema markup for local business and service types. The content targets specific plumbing searches across multiple Durham Region cities.

Technical Details

The site was built on WordPress with a custom theme optimized for speed. Page load times are under 2 seconds on mobile. The design is fully responsive with mobile-first considerations for the majority of their traffic, which comes from homeowners searching on their phones during emergencies.
